There is a road from the eye to the heart
that does not go throught the intellect

Mercuro B Cotto... underlying sensuality .

Moscow-based photographer Mercuro B Cotto captures sensual women within the flow of their surroundings....

The women in his images seem to lose bits of identity as Cotto transforms them into natural objects or forms within the architecture and scenes. There is an underlying sensuality, a sense of romance or emotion that is conveyed through the softness of light and tone. Though the majority of his images are staged and cinematic, there is a fluidity to each image that feels extremely natural. Cotto is able to capture a graceful and timeless elegance through his investigation of the harmony of nature with the feminine human form."  -Via Katie Hosmer

Ode to the naked beauty
"...With chaste heart, and pure
eyes
I celebrate you, my beauty,
restraining my blood
so that the line
surges and follows
your contour,
and you bed yourself in my verse,
as in woodland, or wave-spume:
earth's perfume,
sea's music..."

Ode to the naked beauty
"...It is not so much light that falls
over the world
extended by your body
its suffocating snow,
as brightness, pouring itself out of you,
as if you were
burning inside.
Under your skin the moon is alive ."

Pablo Neruda

Absence
"... We have found each other
Thirsty and we have
Drunk up all the water and the
Blood,
We found each other
Hungry
And we bit each other
As fire bites,
Leaving wounds in us..."

Always
 I am not jealous
of what came before me.
Come with a man
on your shoulders,
come with a hundred men in your hair,
come with a thousand men between your breasts and your feet,
come like a river
full of drowned men
which flows down to the wild sea,
to the eternal surf, to Time!
Bring them all
to where I am waiting for you;
we shall always be alone,
we shall always be you and I
alone on earth,
to start our life!

Fable of the Mermaid and the Drunks

"...She was a mermaid who had lost her way.
The insults flowed down her gleaming flesh.
Obscenities drowned her golden breasts.
Not knowing tears, she did not weep tears.
Not knowing clothes, she did not have clothes.
They blackened her with burnt corks and cigarette stubs,
and rolled around laughing on the tavern floor.
She did not speak because she had no speech.
Her eyes were the colour of distant love,
her twin arms were made of white topaz.
Her lips moved, silent, in a coral light,
and suddenly she went out by that door.
Entering the river she was cleaned,
shining like a white stone in the rain,
and without looking back she swam again
swam towards emptiness, swam towards death."
