This morning I woke up feeling as lazy as the groovy mellow sound of rain pattering on the windows .Since I can't go for a walk along the beach , I've just coaxed myself into a daydreaming mood and I'm going to let my imagination take me away to the awe-inspiring Cyclades islands .
A pipping hot coffee is all I'll take on this journey with me :) .
This beautiful Summer house is situated in the eastern part of the Island of Paros - Cyclades (Greece). Here, all the buildings are wisely adapted to the daily needs of their residents, while at the same time wonderfully adhering to the modestly beautiful Cycladic lines. This house has elements of traditional whitewahsed Cycladic architecture with a minimal modern presentation.
I love to take a little time to celebrate every season in small ways every day .Yesterday it was a lazy Sunday after a crazy week .In the late afternoon I enjoyed a quiet, relaxing walk along the beach with camera on hand . It seems summer doesn't want to leave us in the dark hands of autumn :) ....but there's something in the air that says Autumn is here
I really adore Autumn which turns into a walkway of golden and rusty red coloredcolors .I've always said it's my favorite season but to live near an ever-changing element like the sea gives you another perspective .I'm lucky enough to live near the coast and watch the ever-changing colours and moods.I am very aware of the seductive power of the landscape and I know it finds a way into my work and my mood . The sea gives from its depths plenitude to all beings living in or near her in each and every sense and her changing colors actually gives you the chance to observe the weather coming towards. Timeless beauty thrills in every season in a different way and today it looks like pale blue...
Few shots of my late afternoon walk ...
"Mediterraneo" (Music and lyrics by Joan Manuel Serrat)
"Quizá porque mi niñez sigue
jugando en tu playa y escondido tras las cañas duerme mi primer
amor, llevo tu luz y tu olor por dondequiera que vaya, y amontonado
en tu arena tengo amor, juegos y penas...."
"Perhaps because on your beaches my childhood still is playing
and concealed behind the swaying reeds my first love lies asleep.
Your light, your smell are what I keep wherever I may be staying.
And on your sand I’ve been piling Love and games and pain...."
